Beach View, new for 2023, has been thoughtfully styled by the fabulous Gems Interiors Team, to provide a modern and luxurious atmosphere. The property sleeps up to 7 guests and one furry friend. With the hustle and bustle of St Ives moments away from your holiday door, beaches, galleries, shops and plentiful eateries await your visit. This coastal abode is complete with a large open plan family area, leading up to an outdoor terrace, four boutique bedrooms and four bathrooms.
Following through the house from the spacious living area, there’s an open plan kitchen-diner, perfect for those family meals or to celebrate a special ocassion. Grab a glass of wine and enjoy some nibbles on the large island, or discover the landscaped terrace on those balmy summer evenings, primed for good food, drinks and conversation. As the night draws in, head upstairs to take your pick of four cosy bedrooms, Beach View has stunning interior design by the Gems team, with luxury, comfort and coastal calm in mind. Whether you’re longing to look out to the sea, watch the sunset, or relax in your soft sheets.
The owners wanted to achieve the Cornish Gems standard of rare quality. They renovated the property to create a fabulous open plan living, kitchen and dining area for the whole family to enjoy. Tara and Phoebe of Gems Interiors were then drafted in to style the property, keeping sustainability and the practicalities of a holiday home in mind. Here’s how the team brought Beach View interior design to life…
“We repurposed some of the existing furniture the owners already had for the living area, but brought in sofas that are exceptionally high quality. They are custom made and upholstered in what we call “bomb proof” velvet. It’s a technical velvet that has a super Easy Clean finish which repels water based liquids, perfect for keeping clean in a holiday letting situation. The best bit is the sofas are made here in the UK, which keeps the carbon footprint low.”

“The curtains are all bespoke and hung on wave tracks – a really luxurious approach to window dressing. In the living room and one of the bedrooms, we had the tracks steam bent to mimic the curve of the bay, maximising the panoramic view of Porthmeor beach. The headboards are also fully custom produced in Cornwall by Cornish Upholsterers.”
