A Foodies Cornwall
In Cornwall, it’s more than just dining; it’s huddling around a fire pit as the jacket potatoes crisp, or tucking into the finest seafood dishes, high above the bay. If you are a foodie at heart then the culinary landscape of Cornwall is the place to be. Our rich agricultural industry and fishing heritage has proudly kept the county on the foodie map, but more recently, unique pop-ups, creative street food offerings, foraging masterclasses and innovative distilleries sit alongside the more traditional dining experiences.
Our Gems homes enhance the pleasure of a great dining experience; whether it’s the kitchen of dreams, proximity to a culinary hot-spot, or an enviable al fresco dining set up …
Al Fresco Entertaining
Be it a casual breakfast on the balcony, stone baked pizza at the outdoor kitchen, or a warming chilli around the fire pit, is there a better way to enjoy food than in the ambient outdoors? Pizza masters will be inspired by Molesworth Manor’s outdoor kitchen, those tasked with BBQing can get creative with the The Beach Barn’s Big Green Egg, and The Barrels terrace offers a magical coastline setting for foodie get-togethers.
Artisan Delights
Guests that choose The Gems Welcome Gift will enjoy a true taste of Cornwall; Local Polgoon wine, delicious Chocolarder chocolate, Tregothnan tea and other artisan Cornish products have been selected to showcase the very best of Cornwall’s culinary scene. To beat the supermarket queues – and treat yourself to some delicious local produce – The Cornish Food Box are on hand to deliver straight to your holiday door, bringing you the very best food and drink from more than 200 farmers, fishermen, bakers, butchers and local food producers. So if you are looking for fresh, healthy, free range food while you are visiting Cornwall we really can’t recommend them enough.
Walk to the restaurant
Some guests like to walk to the beach, others love to be able to mooch from their holiday door to a Michelin Star restaurant. If Cornwall’s creative coffee houses and celebrity chef cafes tempt you, choose a holiday base just a hop and skip from the likes of Padstow, Port Isaac, Newquay or St Ives. From The Round House in Tregonce, couples can wander along the Camel Trail to Padstow, where – among other fine restaurants – Paul Ainsworth’s Caffe Rojano serves incredible Cornish produce, heavenly dishes and a warm welcome.

Fully kitted out with everything you would need to conjure a banquet, our Gems kitchens are a delight to cook in.
