We caught up with the owners of Beach View, who gave us an insight into life at this fabulous home…
“We love Beach View with its perfect location overlooking the stunning Mawgan Porth Beach on the doorstep and a lively village with its shops, bars, restaurants, cafes and takeaways a stone’s throw away. Although the house may be older, it has been sympathetically upgraded offering modern comforts and furnishings, combined with a coastal twist and benefits from a lovely sunny and sheltered position.”
“One of our favourite walks is to begin at Mawgan Porth and stroll to St Mawgan, with a stop off at “Off The Path Coffee Co” which not only serves excellent coffee but also a delicious brunch. Our dogs, Alfie and Phoebe, also love this little coffee shop, as there’s plenty of outdoor seating and they are treated to a doggy sausage breakfast!”
“Our favourite cream tea is at Berryfields, in Porthcothan, which is a short drive away from Beach View and also dog friendly. The terrace at the Bedruthan Hotel is a great place to catch a beautiful sunset or just enjoy a sundowner at home, watching the tide come and go while the dogs play in the fully enclosed garden.”
“With the South West Coastal path only steps away, we love the scenery and bird life on the walks along to Bedruthan and the Carnewas Tearoom or southwards to Watergate Bay for something delicious to eat at the Living Space or Beach Hut. In Mawgan Porth itself, we are spoilt for choice from fine dining at the Scarlet Hotel, to rounding off the day with fish and chips to eat on the beach!”
