Step Inside

Approach the Farmhouse via the meandering driveway across the fields. As you arrive, you’ll be greeted with the extensive gardens and impressive home. Enter via the boot room area and step into the relaxed ambience of Glynn Barton Farmhouse.

The open-plan kitchen and dining space is perfect for gathering with friends and family; the sociable layout means that the cook doesn't miss out on the fun. Soft pendant lighting, marble worktops and royal blue/dove grey hues create an inviting space for laid-back breakfasts or wholesome family evenings. There's even a cosy window seat inviting you to curl up and relax while dinner cooks. Just off the kitchen, retire to the cosiest of snugs where you can light up the fire and enjoy an after dinner tipple.Little ones will head straight for the playroom, which is the ideal hangout space for children, with toys, games and a piano.

Leading around to the right, the lounge is a refined, light-filled space with a log burner, delicate, warm colour palette, and deep cushioned, castor-legged sofas. With a calming quality, this room is perfect for winding down after all of your Cornish adventures. Upstairs, four bedrooms offer peaceful retreats where you can catch a quiet moment overlooking the gorgeous garden below.

The private outdoor space is perfect for all ages; sink into the bubbling, sunken hot tub, lay the table for BBQ dinners and afternoon teas, and follow little ones as they toddle around the lawn, exploring all of the new sights, smells and textures of a woodland retreat. Head up the path on the left behind the Farmhouse and this is where you’ll find all the extra amenities and activities that Glynn Barton Farmhouse has to offer.  Everything you could need for a wholesome family holiday is onsite at Glynn Barton Farmhouse, and the shared facilities will be a stand-out part of the holiday for children especially.

On Your Doorstep

With Cardinham Woods quite literally on your doorstep, it couldn't be easier to explore some of Cornwall's most beautiful inland scenery. There are five waymarked trails in the woods; from easy strolls beside the stream, to more hilly tracks. For those who love to hike, Bodmin Moor is a place of wild beauty, with tors worth scaling for their 360 views and Neolithic stone circles. The nearby Camel Trail, or the beautifully kept grounds and wooded paths of Lanhydrock Estate (around 10 minutes away) offer tracks for both keen cyclists and those looking for a fun day out with a buggy bike.

There are some fabulous attractions just a short drive away, including the famous biomes and summer gigs at the Eden Project, the rather enchanting grounds of the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and Golitha Falls; a series of waterfalls along a section of the River Fowey.

Located in the heart of Cornwall, Glynn Barton Farmhouse is an ideal base for day trips a little further afield, too. You can join Cornwall's A30 in less than ten minutes. On the North coast, mooch around galleries and tuck into fresh seafood lunches in the fishing villages of Padstow and Port Isaac, or discover the famous Seven Bays, from pretty Porthcothan to the sea pool at Trevone. Well worth the journey down to the West, you'll find Cornwalls wild heart. Here you can discover the castle-topped island of St Michaels Mount, watch a show at the world-renowned Minack Theatre at Porthcurno, and peruse arty St Ives.
